Red Lentil Dahl Wraps

They are great plain with a sprinkling of cheese but there are so many ways to jazz them up, here are some extras that turn a snack into a meal;

  • A chopped up boiled egg (1 egg does 2 wraps)
  • Fresh diced tomato
  • Coriander leaves
  • Fresh Spinach
  • Fresh Rocket
  • Chilli Flakes
  • Natural Yogurt dipping sauce on the side
  • Shredded chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 mountain bread wrap (or tortillia style wrap) per person
  • 1 Red Lentil Dahl Fresh Pot – 1 per 4 wraps
  • 1/4 cup grated tasty cheese per person
  • Any of the above extras. Use your imagination and go crazy!

Method

    Pre-heat toasted sandwich maker or fry pan.
  • 2

    Lay wrap on the bench and dollop a few teaspoons of Dahl on each wrap. Sprinkle with grated cheese and extras as so desired.

    Place in toasted sandwich maker, use height adjustment to ensure it is just touching the top of the wrap and not flattening it down as the bread might burst. This keeps the filling in and makes the whole thing soft and delicious, great for toddlers.

    Remove and allow to cool a little before enjoying –the centre will be piping hot.
